Sayh al Uhaymir 001 (SaU 001) - L5 Al Wusta, Oman - Found 2000 - 450kg

The extensive SAU strewnfield was discovered in the deserts of Oman in the year 2000. Although the fall is thought to have taken place over 100 years ago, the dry environment has beautifully preserved these stones. Hundreds of stones have been found, but many are small and most have been discolored by rust. Top quality SAU 001 specimens may have rich primary and secondary fusion crust, and many other fine surface characteristics, including regmaglypts (thumbprints) and rollover lips.
