Meteor Crater
Here is a short video showing a panoramic view of the rim of meteor crater as I stand on the edge.
This crater is easily the largest and best preserved meteorite crater in the world. Meteor Crater is located about 40 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona it now serves as a tourist attraction.
This is truly an awe inspiring view. Imagine a meteor that was essentially a large chunk of iron speeding towards earth. This mammoth iron was larger than a house and struck the earth with amazing force.
The meteor had a force so great that when it hit it formed a crater that is nearly a mile wide and over 570 feet deep.
