Filming a Documentary (Glorieta)
Here is a behind the scenes look at five experienced meteorite hunters filming a television show for the Travel Channel. The five meteorite hunters in this episode were Mike Miller, Keith Jenkerson, SonnyClary, Geoff Notkin and Ruben Garcia.
The meteorite episode was just one of eight shows filmed for a series called “Cash and Treasures” Thisepisode aired in December 2006 and can still be seen in reruns.
This particular video was filmed at one of my favorite spots to hunt for meteorites, Glorieta Mountain, New Mexico. We filmed for an entire day and together found 120 grams of meteorites totaling about $1200.
This was so much fun that I subsequently decided to video tape all my excursions into the wilderness as I hunt for meteorites. I think it would be fun to have a meteorite hunting series on television. Imagine watching as I track down rare meteorites from around the world and bring them straight into your living room!
