Estherville, Iowa Mesosiderite 3A/4A. This meteorite fell May 10, 1879.

This set was taken at a magnification of 760X in cross polarized light with the addition of a 1/4 wave plate.
Once again, a great thin section from Jeff Hodges. I had just about given up on some cool Meso shots then Jeff sent me this slide.
