The Tom Phillips Microscopic Meteorite Gallery of Images

Meteorite: NWA 094
Classification: LL3.6
Process: Cross Polarized Light (incident & transmitted)
NWA 094 LL3.6 I don't have much information on this meteorite but it is beautiful on the scopes. I particularly like the way it looks in combined incident and transmitted cross polarized light.

This image set is taken at a magnification of 160X. It is a relatively high magnification (160X) for Xpol work and it is combined transmitted and incident light (pass through and reflected). These shots are difficult in that you must be able to take a good photo in either method and then you start all over when you combine them. It is easy to drown out one method with the other.
