Leoville CV3 Accretionary Breccia.  This meteorite was found by a farmer in Leoville Kansas. 

 

Shown are thin section micrographs viewed in cross polarized transmitted light combined with incident light.  This process requires an uncovered polished thin section.  The balance of light is critical as each method of illumination (reflected and pass through) brings out it's own details that can be overwhelmed by the other.
