Website: Queensland Meteorites Interest Group primary: http://www.qmig.org mirror: http://qmig.net
Welcome to my Bio
I am a born and bred Queenslander thus my interest in Queensland meteorites. I am a Australian Regular Army soldier and my love of the outdoors has played a large part in my becoming interested in meteorites. I burst onto the scene three years ago when I became more focussed on meteorites during my rehabilitation following knee surgery
My intial interest was hammers and I have a friendly competition with Michael Blood to see who has the most hammers... Sorry Michael - I think I have more different specimens but yours are larger damnit - I have tried to convince Michael to collect near misses and maybe one day he will...
My primary focus at the moment is Queensland Meteorites and I own many if not the majority of the Queensland chondrite main masses... I have nearly assembled a complete Queensland meteorite collection and am slowly tracking down those MIA
Plans for this year involve assembling a complete Queensland meteorite polished thin-section collection and arranging EMP of older finds that have been classifed by Mark One eyeball petrology alone
I had hoped that my website would inspire a new breed of parochial and patriotic websites that would showcase other home state or home country collections - but alas not. If you are reading this and are inspired - fill your boots
My interests at the moment are varied but I am dabbling in the marketing side of the house - I am a strong believer in numbered limited edition sales with attractive packaging and also am tinkering with a cart ba||x||sed sales system as the momentum behind sales...
My hobbies are fossicking, my olde upright arcade machine (Frogger rocks), terrestrial stones with an interesting story, olde horror movies, nepenthes (pitcher plants), shipwreck coins, hooning in my R34 Skyline GTT, tinkering with computers, olde 80s hard rock particularly the new wave of British heavy me||x||tal (no didgeridoos Michael) outdoors pursuits and growing old disgracefully
I hope that you all join Michael’s new friends page and that we all contribute something lasting to our special hobby of meteorites

and unless you have done me wrong or have done others In the meteorite
community wrong (there are, thankfully very few who Meet either of these
criteria) I will be very happy to be friends with you! In other words, while
applying is not a guarantee of inclusion, it is As close to a "slam dunk" as
you can get. Welcome to my Meteorite Friends Page! (Note: besides for this

This more comprehensive site involves internet complexity far Beyond my
skill set and could only exist because of the work of Paul Harris at
The Meteorite Exchange. He and Jim Tobin contribute A great deal to the
meteorite community and have my sincere thanks.
