I am a retired college math professor. Now I just spend all my money on meteorites and travel.
While active as an amateur astronomer back in the late 1980s, I bought my first meteorites. A couple of years later I purchased a piece of Bluff (A), and on looking it up in the "Blue Book", discovered that it was found by the brother of my Great-Grandfather. I was hooked.
My primary interests are Texas (I am a native Texan), planetaries (long time interest in astronomy), and falls. I’m also working on Australian and Canadian collections.
At first I was buying almost anything I could find, but now that my collection is much larger (in count, not specimen size), I’ve just about given up on what I call the "numbered African" series and am concentrating on classical and ’named’ specimens.
