I was born in Texas and have also lived in Colorado, New Mexico and California. I’m sure that growing up as a young boy during the 60’s during the space race was the influence for my fascination and love of astronomy, meteorites and tektites. My passion for meteorite hunting was also forged at a young age as I was fortunate to live on the outskirts of Taos, New Mexico and spent much of my free time hunting for pottery and arrowheads. Today I don’t get out even close to what I would like to. Life’s current responsibilities keep me pretty close to home but hopefully this will change in a few years.

Hobbies: All Things Meteorite, Astronomy, Website Design

Mentors: Jim Tobin, Michael Blood, Geoff Notkin

Picture Captions:
-Picture 2: Imaging Mars with my 6" APO Refractor using a webcam.

-Picture 3: Hunting Gold Basin. Found 2 this day with my Gold Bug 2. My second and bigger find occurred at the end of a long hunt 20 feet from camp. I had stopped swinging the Gold Bug and was just walking to the motorhome when it sounded off and I looked down to find it just sitting there. I almost stepped on it...

-Picture 4: Hunting with a magnet cane and looked over and said "That looks just like a meteorite!" My first find and the first find on El Mirage Dry Lake, California.

-Picture 5: One of my all time favorite days. Spending the day with my best friend Jim Tobin on the bottom of Meteor Crater.

Favorite Website: Art’s Meteorite List - Yes I know it’s a list but it’s how I both start, and finish, every day. Catching up on what my friends and other list memebers have been up to.
